Welcome! The Texas Counselors' Network (TCN) is a statewide initiative funded by the Carl D. Perkins Vocational and Technical Education Act of 2006 through the Texas Education Agency (TEA). Weatherford College serves as the facilitator and fiscal agent for Texas Counselors’ Network. The TCN has been actively serving P-16 counselors and guidance personnel since 1996, providing professional development workshops, networking opportunities and technical assistance statewide for elementary, secondary, and postsecondary counselors. In addition, TCN serves as a delivery system for TEA initiatives and legislative updates. The AchieveTexas educational initiative is the main focus for Texas Counselors’ Network during 2007-2008. This initiative is designed to prepare students for a lifetime of success. It allows students to achieve excellence by preparing them for secondary and postsecondary opportunities, career preparation and advancement, meaningful work, and active citizenship.
