Effective
September 1, 2006 the Texas Counselor's Network (TCN) was funded
by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). As a result of this
exciting partnership, the TCN has been reorganized to directly
support the Texas Education Agency Mission.

schools meet the educational needs of all students."
TCN's Goals for 2007 - 2008
Goal #1
Coordinate TCN activities, events, and collaboration efforts to
be aligned with Texas Education Agency initiatives to ensure
that educational counselors and advisors throughout the state
have access to resources related to Achieve Texas and other
state initiatives as directed.
Goal #2
work with Educational Service Centers, counselors' networks, and
school districts to make presentations and distribute Achieve
Texas Counselors' toolkits to middle and high school counselors
throughout the state.
Goal #3
Provide technical assistance and support to PK-16 counselors
statewide through the
Texas Education Telecommunications Network
(TETN) presentations, TCN website,
conferences and other professional development opportunities.
